On the afternoon of May 9th, the College of International Education held an interesting Rubik’s Cube salon for international students from all over the world, which tested their ability of learning, observation and calculation.
In the Salon, the permutation and combination of three-order Rubik’s Cube, Revenge Cube and Pyraminx were introduced to international students firstly. Later, applause and admiration filled the classroom, after Chinese students performed wonderful Rubik’s Cube restoration for international students in a short time. Chinese students patiently imparted the skills of restoring the Rubik’s Cube to international students, and let them experience how to rotate and restore the Rubik’s Cube. In this process, international students learn, ask and try, and finally restore the Rubik’s Cube smoothly through step-by-step observation and calculation.
Daniel from Colombia said, “I experienced the magic, fun and novelty of Rubik’s Cube in this salon!” Today’s activity, with the theme of Rubik’s Cube, not only narrows the distance between Chinese and foreign students, but also increases the friendship between them. The restoration of the Rubik’s Cube is achieved by rotating the blocks with fingertips and piecing together blocks with the same color. Just like learning, knowledge modules are connected in series through knowledge points, and then form the knowledge systems. The most important part in learning is thinking and experiencing. This educational and entertaining activity also makes international students relieve stress and understand that the learning of any knowledge or skill requires repeated refinement to achieve mastery. It is believed that through the continuous practice and deepening of the cultivation system, international students will definitely gain and excel in Shanghai Business School.
