Mr. Trilochan Pokharel, Senior Research Director (Deputy Minister-level) of the National School of Administration of Nepal, attended the Seminar on Trade and Investment Laws for Nepal from May 17 to 26, 2024. The seminar was sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by Shanghai Business School.

Mr. CARLOS MARTÍN PIOVANO ANDRIOLO, Executive Chairman of Uruguay MPA Consulting / Director of International Relations, Paysandú Research Center.Mr. Martin has been in close contact and communication with our staff since his training at our university. In 2020, after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in China, he was very concerned and sent a recorded video to us to express condolences.

Mr. Angel Salvador Tejeda Cuevas, a civil engineer of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In 2018, he participated in the 2018 Seminar on Urban Planning and Construction for Latin American Caribbean and South-Pacific Countries hosted by our university in Shanghai.

Mr. THOMAS DESMONDBANNISTER, Vice Premier and Minister of Engineering of Bahamas (ministerial level) at the time , once attendedthe “2018 Ministerial Seminar on Urban Planning and Construction for DevelopingCountries” held by Shanghai training base. Minister BANNISTER was the first cabinetminister of the new government to visit China and take part in theseminars,and his visit to China meant a lot for Sino-Bahamas relationship and made important contributions tothe deepening of bilateral government relationship and the promotion of bilateralcultural and educational exchanges. After returning to Bahamas, he specificallyintroduced his experiences at the seminar, and stressed that Bahamas shouldlearn from Shanghai’s experience in building a comprehensive modern city.

Mr.LING AUNG, ViceMinister of Finance of Burma at the time, once attended the “2014 Ministerial Seminar onFinancial Strategies for Developing Countries” held by Shanghai training base, and was thefirst ministerial-level participant of our base. He saidthat the study experience in Shanghai gave him a clear understanding of China’sfinancial development status. He also experienced his belief that these Seminarwould provide effective platforms for officials to broaden their horizon,improve their competence, exchange ideas, and engage in cooperation.
