Fields of Seminars

To meet the demands for the participants’ countries and to optimize the advantages of the resources of Shanghai, Shanghai Training Base has been focusing on building its available brand seminars, including Urban (Township) Planning and Construction, Finance, Infrastructure Planning and Construction, Transportation Management, Enterprise Development and Management, Trade, Economy, Maritime cooperation, as well as, Financial (Auditing) Management, and Justice Cooperation. Shanghai Training Base will further benchmark Shanghai's goal of building a global city of excellence and build platforms for a new international economic cooperation space.

I.        Urban (Township) Planning and Construction

The seminars on Urban (township) Planning and Construction focus on sharing the ideas, methods and experience of China (including Shanghai) in urban (township) planning and construction, promoting exchange and cooperation within the field and improving urban (township) planning and construction levels in participants’ countries. The courses include China’s urban development and urban/rural planning system, Shanghai 2035:Interpretation of Urban Planning, the planning and practice of Shanghai 5G smart city, urban energy planning and management, water planning and management. Besides, Shanghai Training Base organizes field trips to relevant areas such as China Telecom Corporation (Shanghai), the Shanghai West Bund Development (Group) Company, Ltd, Shanghai LongiLat Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd, Shanghai HeAn Commercial Development Co., Ltd, First Institute of Telecommunications Science and Technology, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Songjiang Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Jiading Vanke New City, Tianzifang, Knowledge & Innovation Community Garden, Changyang Campus, Mengqing Museum-Suzhou River Exhibition Center etc.


II.      Finance

The seminars on Finance focus on sharing the ideas, methods and experience of China (including Shanghai) in building an international finance center, financial management and financial risk control, and improving financial management and financial risk control levels in participants’ countries. The courses include China’ s macro financial reform, financial crisis and financial risk management, operation and management of commercial banks, construction of Shanghai International Finance Center, and China's experience with financially supporting economic development in developing countries. Besides, Shanghai Training Base organizes site visits to places of special interest such as Bank of China, Bank of Shanghai, the Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Gold Exchange, China Financial Information Center, Hywin Wealth Management Co., Ltd. etc.

III.    Infrastructure Planning and Construction

The seminars on Infrastructure Planning and Construction are concerned with sharing ideas, methods and experience of China (including Shanghai) in infrastructure planning and construction, and improving infrastructure planning and construction levels in participants’ countries. The courses include the overall urban plan of Shanghai and the implementation,comprehensive planning of transportation systems, planning and designs for urban road system, port planning design and construction, water-related affairs planning and management, green building and green construction, etc. In addition, participants will visit places of relevant interest such as Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute, China Telecom Corporation (Shanghai), Yangshan Deep-water Port, Mengqing Museum-Suzhou River Exhibition Center , Shanghai Tunnel Science and Technology Museum, Shanghai Tap Water Science & Technology Museum, etc.

IV.   Transportation Management

The seminars on Transportation Management focus on sharing ideas, methods and experience of China (including Shanghai) in transportation management, promoting the exchange and cooperation within the field, and enhancing the transportation management levels in participants’ countries. The courses include overviews of China’ s G-series high-speed train development, China’s international maritime transportation practice and analysis of relevant cases, management of city expressways, Shanghai road traffic control rules, construction of the Hongqiao comprehensive transportation hub, and more. Outside of class, field trips will be available to relevant sites such as CASCO Signal Ltd., Shanghai CRSC, the Hongqiao Comprehensive Transportation hub, Shanghai Metro Museum, Shanghai Railway Museum etc.

V.      Trade and Investment

The seminars on Trade and Investment focus on sharing ideas, methods and experience of China (including Shanghai) in trade and investment, promoting the exchange and cooperation within the field, and enhancing the trade and investment levels in participants’ countries. The courses include, China's economic system reform, China’s opening-up process and achievement, China’s FDI situation, processing trade and China’s Industrial Development Park, reform and practice of Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone, future of China’s Free Trade Zone strategy, Shanghai's practice and experience in optimizing the business environment, Pudong development and opening-up and “Five Centers” Construction of Shanghai, Innovation and Reform of China’s Foreign Investment Law, and more. Outside of class, field trips will be available to relevant sites such as Alibaba Group (Shanghai),China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, Shanghai Electronic Port, etc.

VI.   Enterprise Development and Management

The seminars on Enterprise Development and Management focus on sharing ideas, methods and experience of China (including Shanghai) in the reform of state-owned enterprises and the development and management of small and medium-sized enterprises, promoting the exchange and cooperation within the field, and enhancing the development level of state-owned enterprises in participants’ countries. The courses include analysis of modern state-owned enterprise system with Chinese characteristics, modern enterprise system and state-owned enterprise competitiveness, the analysis of current status of asset operation of China’s state-owned enterprises, practice and innovation of the reform and development of state-owned assets and enterprises in Shanghai, change trends of China's industry and development opportunities of small and medium-sized enterprises, analysis of China’s small and medium-sized enterprises policies and regulations, park development and the innovative and entrepreneurial system construction, exploration and practice of promoting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Shanghai, and more.
