In order to study and implement education of Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively and solidly promote investigation and research, deepen the integration of practice, production, and education, and promote the high-quality development of foreign aid training, Chen Wei, executive vice dean of College of International Education and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, and other delegates went to Nanning and Liuzhou of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from June 1 to June 3 to conduct investigation and exchange.
The delegation visited Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Department of Commerce, Guangxi Traffic Investment Group, Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and other units successively, and discussed how to create a classic route of practical teaching of foreign aid training, establish an innovative school-government-enterprise cooperation model for foreign aid training, and build an economic and trade exchange platform for "the belt and road initiative".
Executive vice dean Chen Wei said that foreign aid training means great responsibilities and is a glorious mission. Serving the national diplomatic strategy and utlizing Shanghai's location advantages and the city’s goal of constructing "five centers", The MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) focuses on the building of training systems as well as the innovation of training modes to improve the quality of training services. Shanghai Base is committed to amplifying the overflow effect of foreign aid training, and looks forward to actively cooperating with enterprises from different cities to build a high-quality foreign aid training system that integrates production and education. Thus, international economic and trade cooperation can be further promoted, domestic enterprises can "go global" and the high-quality development of "the belt and road initiative" can be facilitated.
Liang Bo, executive deputy director of the Cooperation Department of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that the school-government-enterprise linkage is conducive to communication and cooperation and promotes mutual learning and development. As an international gateway to ASEAN, a new strategic fulcrum for the opening and development of southwest, central, and southern regions, and a crucial part of the organic connection of the "the Belt and Road", Guangxi boasts the largest total import and export volume of border trade in China for many years, continuously contributing to the stability, steadyness and revitalization of the border. Guangxi, also home to China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, and China-ASEAN Commodity Exchange Center, is endowed with rich cultural and industrial resources. The Department of Commerce is willing to vigorously support foreign aid training, fully serve the national strategy, and promote international economic and trade cooperation.
Ye Juan, minister of the Human Resources Department of Guangxi Traffic Investment Group, said that relying on the construction of the expressway and railway, Guangxi Traffic Investment Group has formed a coordinated development pattern between the expressway (railway), real estate, logistics, energy, finance, tourism, information technology and other industries, which is highly compatible with various themes of foreign aid training, and can provide abundant field visit resources for foreign aid training. The group is willing to jointly explore and design the theme courses of seminars with the Shanghai base, develop practical teaching routes, further promote the integration of production and education, and achieve win-win cooperation.
Li Juan, director of Human Resources of Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and vice president of Liugong University said that as a benchmark enterprise for China's equipment manufacturing industry to "go global", the company attaches great importance to international cooperation, pursues the international development of enterprises, and enhances innovation capability in open cooperation. Liugong is willing to join hands with Shanghai Base to explore a new mode of innovative school-enterprise cooperation in practice, so as to facilitate the coordinated development of "the Belt and Road Initiative" and the "going out" of enterprises.
During this investigation, the delegation also visited Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi Honggui Capital Operation Group Co., Ltd., Sinotrans Guangxi Co., Ltd., Guangxi Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd., and Liuzhou Luosifen Industrial Park, and conducted in-depth discussions on developing and sharing of foreign aid training resources, improving the quality of foreign aid training services, and promoting foreign trade and economic cooperation in Guangxi, and reached a consensus on future cooperation.
