On the morning of October 12th, the opening ceremony of the Семинар по управлению зон свободной торговли и двухстороннему режиму свободной торговли между Молдавией и Китаем sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, was commenced with success. Chen Wei, the executive vice dean of the College of International Education, Shanghai Business School and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Han Bo, Director of Quantum Inno of Shanghai Free Trade Zone United Development Co., Ltd. attended the opening ceremony.
China and Moldova have a long history of friendship and cooperation. Since the establishment of our diplomatic relations, bilateral relations have maintained steady development, featured with ever strengthening political and mutual trust, and economic cooperation has been continuously deepened. "The belt and road initiative" has brought new opportunities for China-Moldova cooperation. Moldova, as a member of the European Free Trade Association, has made remarkable achievements in the construction of free trade zone in recent years. The economic and trade cooperation between China and Moldova is getting closer and closer, and the bilateral trade volume is increasing year by year. In this context, strengthening exchanges and cooperation between China and Moldova in the construction and management of free trade zone is of great significance for promoting the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
Chen Wei expressed that this year marks the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Moldova. The economic and trade cooperation between China and Moldova has become increasingly close, and the bilateral trade volume has increased year by year. This seminar is of great significance for promoting the cooperation between China and Moldova in the field of free trade zone construction. He said that Shanghai Business School will give full play to its advantages and provide high-quality training and services for Moldovan officials.
Han Bo said that after 40 years of China's reform and opening-up, high-tech parks and free trade zones have presented a stepped development pattern. This seminar is just in time. It is hoped that through study and exchange, China and Moldova can make use of their respective countries' resource endowments and advantages to achieve deep cooperation, and hope that the seminar will achieve the expected goals and be a complete success.
The official representative, Mr. SERGIU GHEORGHITA, from the General Administration of Customs of Moldova and Deputy Commissioner of Customs of Central Moldova, expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government. He said that he was very happy to attend this seminar. China has always been an important partner of Moldova. Moldova has a superior geographical position and great potential. He hopes to reach further cooperation with China through this seminar.
This seminar will last for 20 days, with 19 officials from Moldova's General Administration of Customs, General Office of Government, Ministry of Finance, Enterprise Development Center, Chisinau Municipal Government and other departments participating in the training.
