China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade Conducts Research and Exchanges on Foreign Aid Training at SBS

On the afternoon of July 22, Deputy Dean Zhang Xiaoyan of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade and her delegation conducted research and exchanges on foreign aid training at SBS.Chen Wei, the secretary and the executive vice dean of the College of International Education, and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) and Dai Ying, the executive vice dean of the College of International Education, Shanghai Business School and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai)as well as staff in charge of the project department of MOFCOM Training Base, attended the research and exchange meeting.

Chen Wei expressed his welcome to Zhang Xiaoyan and her delegation for their visit to investigate the foreign aid training work at SBS. Zhou Dejiang, Director of the Base Project Department, introduced the basic situation of SBS's foreign aid training work from aspects of the introduction, work status, achievements, and characteristics.

Zhang Xiaoyan introduced the establishment background, functional orientation, and development goals of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, and provided a detailed overview of the institute's training work. She expressed that this research and exchange meeting was fruitful and looked forward to more opportunities for further cooperation and exchanges with SBS in the future.

Chen Wei remarked that in the future, the two institutions have the potential to deepen cooperation in diverse aspects, including personnel training, talent development, and think tank construction. By facilitating the complementarity and sharing of resources, an innovative and influential platform for educational cooperation that caters to the needs of SCO member states and countries along the "Belt and Road"can be established, thereby making substantial contributions to the construction of a community with a shared future for humanity.

The China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade was officially unveiled in Qingdao in January 2022. Since its establishment, the institute has adhered to the principles of consultation, joint contribution, shared benefits, and openness. Based on the practical needs of SCO members, it has successively launched 28 courses of foreign aid training and economic and trade training in areas such as international logistics and transportation, cross-border e-commerce, etc., covering more than 3,000 participants from 43 SCO countries and countries along the "Belt and Road" route.
