On the morning of August 27, the delegation of Seminar on Financial Cooperation in Uganda, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, visited the Jilin Branch of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CPIC Jilin Branch") for exchange, and had in-depth discussions focusing on the development status and future trends of the insurance industry. Twenty-five officials from Ugandan government departments, including the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the Office of the President, the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), and the Bank of Uganda, attended the event. They were accompanied by Xi Yubin, Vice Dean of the College of Shanghai Lausanne Hospitality Management.
CPIC Jilin Branch attached great importance to this visit and arranged for the participants to visit the Customer Service Hall, the Auto Insurance Claims Service Center, the Management Center for Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Farmers, and the Staff Library in turn. Impressed by the elegant environment of the business hall and the people-centered design of service windows, the participants spoke highly of the high-quality customer service experience of Chinese insurance companies. In the Auto Insurance Claims Service Center, they learned in detail and personally experienced the new online claims settlement model, which is easy to use and efficient. They gained insights into the changes and acceleration brought by intelligent services to the insurance industry. At the Management Center for Agriculture, Rural Areas, and Farmers, the staff systematically introduced the company's business coverage and risk management practices in three major insurance categories: planting, breeding, and forestry. The introduction aroused widespread interest among Ugandan officials.

After the visit, the two sides entered the discussion and exchange session. The participants gained an in-depth understanding of the business layout and corporate culture of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. through three special promotional videos, including the MV of the Chinese women's volleyball team's "Promise." Mr. Arthur Amanya, Accountant of the National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC&DB) of Uganda, exchanged views with business representatives on insurance clients, such as individual farmers or rural cooperatives, and corporate social responsibility practices.
Over the years, CPIC Jilin Branch has closely followed the national strategy, leveraging its professional advantages to innovate insurance supply. It comprehensively serves Jilin's economic and social development and provides support for key areas and people's well-being. Mr. Johnson Rwamahe Mutesigensi, Coordinator at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development of Uganda, said that the visit was fruitful. He pointed out that Uganda's insurance system is still in the development stage and often faces unexpected challenges in practice, and the extensive business coverage and mature experience of China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. are of significant reference value. He expressed the intention to apply the experience he learned in this visit to the construction and improvement of Uganda's insurance system.

This visit provided Ugandan participants with a valuable opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the front-line practice of China's insurance industry, and effectively promoted the mutual learning between China and Uganda in specific fields such as agricultural insurance and digital services. The event further consolidated the practical foundation for pragmatic cooperation between the two sides and opened up a broad space for more targeted cooperation in the fields of finance and insurance in the future.
