Seminar on Financial Cooperation for Spanish-Speaking Countries Completed Successfully

On the morning of June 10, 2021 (GMT+8), the Closing Ceremony for "Seminar on Financial Cooperation for Spanish-Speaking Countries " hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Mr. Chen Runyun, Vice President of Academy for International Business Officials, Ms. Duan Weihua,Deputy Director of 2nd Project Management Division of Academy for International Business Officials, Mr. Wang YuJian, Deputy Director of 2nd Project Management Division of Academy for International Business Officials, Ms. He Ying, Vice President of Shanghai Business School, Mr. Chen Wei,Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education of SBS and Ms. Dai Ying,Vice Dean of the College of International Education of SBS, attended the closing ceremony.

On behalf of Shanghai Business School, Ms. He Ying summarized the seminar. She said that the epidemic has prevented people from all over the world from traveling, but it cannot stop the transmission of friendship with each other. The seminar is a new starting point for China and participating Spanish-speaking countries to learn from each other in the field of financial cooperation. It is also a link for the continuous warming friendship between China and the Spanish-speaking countries. She hoped that the participants can bring the knowledge and experience gained from the seminar to their compatriots, and promote the improvement of the level of financial cooperation in their countries.

On behalf of all participants, Mr. Federico Rodríguez, Prosecutor Coordinator of the Ministry of Economics of Uruguay, delivered a speech. He said that the seminar brought together nearly a hundred participants from Latin America and was carried out online in a long distance. This is undoubtedly an extraordinary work, he expressed his gratitude to Ministry of Commerce of China and Shanghai Business School for providing all participants with this rare training opportunity.

On behalf of Ministry of Commerce of China and Academy for International Business Officials, Mr. Chen Runyun expressed his sincere gratitude to Shanghai Business School, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Chinese embassies in Latin America, as well as the experts, scholars and work teams who participated in the lectures. He pointed out that although China and Latin American countries are far apart geographically, our friendship and pragmatic cooperation are increasingly deepened and strengthened. He hoped that in the post-epidemic era we can continue to strengthen and deepen financial cooperation.

The participants generally think that the online training courses are rich in content and have a good experience, which benefits everyone a lot and creates unlimited possibilities for future cooperation. They hope to have the opportunity to come to China and Shanghai in the near future, to experience China's development and changes at a close distance, to have in-depth cultural interactions with Chinese friends, and to deepen mutual friendship.
