On June 30, 2021 International Student Scholarship Review and Work Coordination Meeting of our university was successfully held in the 3rd conference room on the 7th floor of Comprehensive Building at Fengpu campus.

Ms. He Ying, Vice President of our university, and all members of the International Student Scholarship Appraisal Committee attended the meeting. Mr. Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of our college, hosted the meeting and Ms. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of our college, introduced the current situation of international student education in our university, the appropriation of scholarships for international students in Shanghai, and the requirements for scholarship review to the committee members.
Ms. He Ying pointed out that international student education is not only an important part of the internationalization strategy, but also one of the characteristics of our university. The scholarship review should be based on students’ basic situation and the needs of each major in each college, and we must adhere to the standards, to be objective and fair, and truly be able to select good students to promote the improvement of the quality of talents training and the building of the internationalization brand.
After the discussion, 6 Municipal Government Scholarships For International Students were selected for the A prize and 11 for the B prize; 11 International Student Scholarships were selected for the 2nd category, 146 for the 3rd category, 6 for the 4th category and 3 for the 5th category. Besides, the committee authorized our college to adjust the New Student Scholarships based on the follow-up interview situation.
On reviewing the revised version of Measures for the Education and Management of International Students of Shanghai Business School, the deans and directors of College of Business Administration, College of Finance and Economics, Finance Office, HR Office and other departments participated in the discussion and reasonable suggestions were given on the basis on their work. At last, Ms. He Ying put forward three requirements: First, sort out and solidify the established practices; Second, coordinate and strengthen cooperation; Third, establish an incentive and integration mechanism to promote the development.

The meeting focused on the goals of the "14th Five-Year Plan", further standardized the review of international student scholarships, straightened out the work system and coordination mechanism, and laid a new foundation for the high-quality development of our university's international student education.
