On behalf of the Municipal Commission of Commerce, Liu Beimin expressed her warm congratulations on the opening of this Seminar. She said that economic and trade investment is inseparable from the support of financial services. As an important part of finance, national currency and bank management are effective channels for regulating and stabilizing the national economy. With the continuous advancement of science and technology and the development of economic globalization, a proactive and stable monetary policy and modern bank management are important guarantees for responding to the world's political and economic situations and preventing and deflating financial risks. She hopes that financial institutions from all over the world will participate in the construction of Shanghai's international financial center, and take this Seminar as a new opportunity to strengthen exchanges and contacts with Chinese financial institutions and deepen practical cooperation in this field.

Speech by Liu Beimin

Chen Wei said that in the“dual circulation” development pattern of the post-epidemic era, the changes in China's economy and market have not only brought huge challenges to the development of all countries in the world, but also new opportunities. This seminar focuses on topics such as the new pattern of technology and finance in the era of artificial intelligence, the current status of risk management in China’s banking industry, the internationalization of the RMB, and the impact of DeFi on the traditional financial ecosystem, which aims to further promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and the South Pacific region, provide China's experience in currency and bank management, and share China's achievements in this field.

Carlos Martin Pirvano Andriolo, President of Uruguay MPA Consulting Company, delivered a speech on behalf of the participants of this Seminar. He thanked China for the preparatory work, and looked forward to gaining knowledge and experience of China from the seminar. Mr. Martin participated in the seminar organized by our university in 2018. With his enthusiastic support and promotion,  our university has established a solid relationship with the Uruguayan Passandu Research Center. Until now, two online seminars have been jointly held.

The Seminar will last for 14 days and 45 officials from 7 countries including Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela will participate in the training.
