Recently, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission announced the evaluation results of “Excellent Education Cases for International Students in Shanghai Universities”, and the case of Building an online Training Model for Foreign Aid and Promoting Common Development declared by the International Education College of SBS and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was selected as an excellent case.
According to the Notice of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on Selecting Excellent Education Cases for International Students in Universities (HJWW No. 47 [2022]), the Municipal Education Commission extensively solicited from the whole system the typical education cases that have effectively coped with the COVID-19 pandemic, actively strived for innovation, and achieved effective results and are worthy of promotion since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020. After expert evaluation, a total of 20 cases declared were selected as excellent education cases for international students in Shanghai universities.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, SBS has been providing the strategic services needed of promoting the Belt and Road initiative and China’s major country diplomacy through seeking new ideas, innovating work concepts, promoting foreign aid training with digital technologies, constructing an online training mode, building a remote learning and management service platform, creating digital curriculum, optimizing implementation plan design, and innovating a learning support service system. Since the pandemic, SBS has actively carried out online foreign aid trainings, which involved a total of 2,811 international business officials from 87 countries and international organizations, built an international friendship network, promoted economic, trade and educational exchanges and cooperation, boosted common development, and contributed to building a community of human destiny. Leaders from the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Finance highly affirmed the online foreign aid training work of SBS.
