Jointly Promoting Talent Development and Economic &Trade Development—SICDZ Delegation Visited SBS for Cooperation and Exchanges

On March 11, 2024, Jiang Chenglie, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Industrial Comprehensive Development Zone (SICDZ), led a delegation to visit SBS Fengxian Campus. They were warmly welcomed by Chen Wei, Secretary of the Party Branch directly under the School of International Education of Shanghai Business School (SBS) and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), along with Professor Yin Yanhai, Director of the Department of Logistics Management of the School of Business Administration. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation and promoting talent development.

During the meeting, Jiang Chenglie firstly reviewed the historical background and strong cooperation foundation between Fengxian Comprehensive Bonded Zone (FCBZ) and SBS. She then provided an overview of the current development status and future of the FCBZ, emphasizing the immense potential for growth in the fields of cross-border e-commerce and Silk Road e-commerce. Furthermore, she highlighted those support policies provided by FCBZ, including internship and employment opportunities for SBS students. Jiang expressed her wish to further strengthen cooperation with the school in talent cultivation, student employment, entrepreneurship support and international exchanges.

Chen Wei provided a detailed introduction to the basic situation of the school, as well as the remarkable achievements of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials in foreign aid training, international exchanges, decision consulting, and enterprise services. He emphasized SBS' active role in serving the national Belt and Road initiative and promoting international economic and trade cooperation, along with expectations for future cooperation.

The two sides discussed the possibility of establishing FCBZ as a practical training base for SBS’ foreign aid training. They reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation in university-enterprise collaboration, internships and employment, innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as foreign aid training.
