On the afternoon of March 24, the delegation of the International Business Division of CEEC East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., including Deputy Directors He Jiliang and Zhao Jianhua and Business Manager Ni Dongchen, paid a visit to SBS, and was warmly received by Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of College of International Education and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Training Base”).

Chen Wei briefly introduced Shanghai Training Base in terms of basic situation, foreign-aid training, and work performance. He said that, after being established and licensed, Shanghai Training Base had continuously enriched its three-dimensional curriculum system, and made staged training achievements relying on the significant resource advantages of Shanghai. Chen Wei also pointed out that Shanghai Training Base and CEEC East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. undertook common tasks and missions and shared broad prospects for cooperation. On the basis, he expressed the hope that the two sides would take infrastructure construction training as the penetration point to improve the effects of foreign-aid training by means of field surveys, classroom lectures, and symposiums, and to jointly promote the sustainable development of their cooperative relationship through promoting exchanges with training and seeking cooperation in exchanges.

He Jiliang introduced the history of CEEC East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. He said that, under the guidance of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce during the past few years, the company had actively cooperated with overseas entities, strictly implemented the policy of “going global”, and effectively contributed to the success of the “Belt and Road” Initiative. He also stressed that the company would be willing to establish extensive cooperation with Shanghai Training Base in terms of foreign-aid training, international education, etc.

Zhao Jianhua showed deep admiration for our prominent contributions in training international talents who understand China, love China, and hold a friendly attitude towards China. He also expressed the hope that more exchanges would be conducted between the two sides to push forward the implementation of programs, and better serve the foreign strategies of our country.

In the animated atmosphere of the meeting, the two sides also engaged in heated discussions about program details such as training scale, training duration, and nationality coverage.
