On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the College of International Education organized a fun event centered around roller skating for international students from all over the world. This activity allowed the students to enjoy the thrill of roller skating, enhance their athletic abilities, and promote their physical and mental well-being.
The activity began with a demonstration of roller skating techniques, led by members of the School’s Roller Skating Club. They introduced the international students to essential skills, including starting, gliding, and turning. Under the guidance of the club members, the students practiced these techniques in groups, gradually mastering the key moves. The club members also provided corrections and personalized guidance on the students’ footwork and postures to ensure steady and safe skating. The activity concluded with the international students participating in their first roller skating show, organized by the club members. The students experienced the excitement and fun of roller skating, with joyful laughter filling the air as both local and international students shared a lively and spirited atmosphere.
The successful completion of this roller skating activity not only encouraged international students to actively participate in sports but also fostered communication and interaction between Chinese and international students. By engaging in this sport activity, the international students strengthened their willpower, cultivated a spirit of perseverance and determination, and promoted their physical and mental well-being.
