To comprehensively improve the quality of education and management services for international students and ensure the orderly progress of various tasks in the new semester, on the morning of March 7th, the College of International Education held the regular meeting for class advisors of international students in Spring Semester 2024-2025. Zhou Jihong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Branch of the College of International Education, staff from the International Student Office, and international students’ class advisors attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Secretary Zhou Jihong emphasized the importance of international student work in the school's internationalization strategy. She stressed that counselors and class advisors are the first bridge for international students to adapt to campus life and integrate into Chinese culture. They should adhere to the principles of "precision management and personalized service", focusing on students' academic development, mental health, and cross-cultural adaptation abilities. In line with the requirements, arrangements, and implementation of the school's inspection and the College of International Education's rectification work, it is necessary to further refine and professionalize the management of international students, fully leverage the role of the counselor and class advisors, empower the international student management team, and improve the management level of international students, which is one of the key tasks for international student work this semester. At the same time, she expressed her gratitude to the international students’ class advisors for their hard work last semester and encouraged everyone to continue innovating work methods and creating a distinctive brand for international student management. In addition, she gave a briefing on the management of international students in the first two weeks of the new semester, attendance, academic style, and life services.
