On the afternoon of September 23, the International Education College and the Shanghai Training Base for International Business Officials (MOFCOM) held a Fall Semester Work Deployment Meeting in conference room 1501 of the West Zhongshan Road Campus. The meeting aimed to clarify the key tasks for the new semester, further unify thinking, and consolidate strength, laying a foundation for the orderly development of the college’s various tasks in the new semester. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Secretary Zhou Jihong, with Dean Liu Bin and all faculty and staff of the college in attendance.
At the meeting, Liu Bin first conveyed the spirit of the university’s mid-level cadres meeting, emphasizing the need to focus on the theme of “Uniting Hearts and Minds, Deepening Reforms” and to solidly advance key tasks such as the undergraduate program asseessment and evaluation, fostering virtue through education, and work style construction. Liu Bin summarized the college’s achievements during the summer vacation in areas such as the construction of foreign aid resources, international student recruitment and summer program advancement, and project service support. He also outlined the work plan for the new semester: first, full engagement in the undergraduate education teaching audit and evaluation, with proficiency in the required knowledge; second, solid advancement of the “One College, One Policy” reform, strengthening disciplinary characteristics and the management services for international students; third, ensuring the successful conclusion of foreign aid training programs.
Deputy Secretary Zhou Jihong put forward requirements for the work under her purview, including strengthening orientation education for international students, reinforcing ideological investigations and religious belief screenings, and leveraging the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members, to ensure the coordinated progress of all tasks.
Finally, Liu Bin emphasized that the tasks for the new semester are heavy and the time is tight. He urged all faculty and staff to focus on the college’s key tasks, strengthen their sense of responsibility, ensure implementation, and guarantee the orderly progress of all work. He called for promoting good work ethics and demonstrating courage to take responsibility, using solid work and tangible achievements to drive the college’s international education efforts to new heights. The meeting called on all faculty and staff to go all out and use practical actions to promote the high-quality development of the college's international education, ensuring the successful completion of the annual tasks.
