Ricardo, Head of Energy Transition at the Brazilian Presidential Civil Office, elaborated on the “Brazil Reindustrialization Plan” launched in 2024. He emphasized Brazil’s expectation to establish regular communication mechanisms with China to jointly address technical challenges and policy barriers in the energy transition, ensuring efficient implementation of cooperation. Felipe, Project Manager from the Brazilian Presidential Civil Office, expressed hopes that it would promote collaboration between Chinese and Brazilian enterprises. Through localization of production, technology transfer and other means, the “Brazil Reindustrialization Plan” could be realized, helping Brazil cultivate its new energy manufacturing sector and create high-skilled jobs.

The Chinese and Brazilian sides also engaged in lively discussions on topics including new energy policies, industrial investment, and technological cooperation. The Brazilian delegation introduced their latest plans and tender information in areas such as battery energy storage, photovoltaic power generation, wind power projects, and oil and gas investments. They proposed establishing joint research and development mechanisms to provide more support for Brazilian companies during the energy transition process. Representatives from Chinese enterprises shared their experiences in PV inverters, energy storage systems, hydrogen energy equipment, and overseas market expansion, expressing their intention to actively follow and participate in the investment and development of new energy projects in Brazil.

During their stay in Feixi, the participants also conducted field visits to leading local new energy enterprises including Huasun Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Anhui Hanstar Energy Co., Ltd., Deep Xiang Technology Co., Ltd., and Huaxiang Automotive Metal Parts Co., Ltd. These visits not only provided a more intuitive understanding of Feixi’s strength in the new energy industry but also helped establish initial communication channels regarding industrial policies, project financing, and technological cooperation. Gustavo, Manager from Petrobras, revealed that the company plans to invest over one hundred billion US dollars in the energy industry in the coming years, covering areas such as offshore wind power, biomass, green hydrogen, and bioethanol. He sincerely invited more Chinese companies to participate in cooperation to jointly promote the development of clean energy. Paulo, Head of Energy Transition from the Brazilian Research and Project Financing Organization, clearly stated that his institution is willing to serve as a bridge for China-Brazil cooperation, offering support not only in policy guidance but also in R&D financing and strategic investment for Chinese partners.

This inspection activity received strong support from the Yangtze River Delta G60 Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor. As a crucial engine driving the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, the G60 Corridor breaks down administrative barriers and integrates innovation resources from its nine member cities, playing a key role as a platform and hub in promoting the development of the new energy industry. Hefei is not only a major beneficiary of this strategic platform but has also emerged as a key node and industrial highland contributing growth momentum through its continuous innovation and breakthroughs in the new energy field. Against the backdrop of the Belt and Road Initiative and South-South cooperation, China-Brazil cooperation in the new energy industry shows broad prospects. Both sides will use this exchange as a starting point to further promote practical cooperation in technology sharing, joint project development, and market expansion, jointly embracing new opportunities in the global energy transition.
