On May 25, 2019, the international students competed in the Third Tai Chi Competition for International Students in Shanghai held in Shanghai University of Sport. This culture event gathered more than 200 international students having a love for Tai Chi in Shanghai Gymnasium. The team of SBS won the third prize of group award.
The students of Shanghai University of Sport presented Tai Chi, Martial Arts, and figure Tai Chi performance at the opening ceremony as a warm-up for the event, creating a joyful atmosphere at the scene. The group competition formally started with the announcement by a leader of Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association. This competition consisted of both group and individual items, including 24-form, 42-form, 48-form, and 88-form Tai Chi Chuan, as well as 32-form and 42-form Tai Chi Sword. International students from colleges and universities in Shanghai upheld the spirit of “Friendship First”, and presented their style and competence in this game.

The collective figure Tai Chi presented by the Tai Chi team of our college won prolonged and thunderous applause from the audience for their uniform arrangement, concentrated performance, and touching music. The team was given a score of 8.37, and a third prize.
