On the afternoon of May 12, in order to promote the implementation of this year's foreign aid training projects, deepen cooperation and exchanges, and improve the quality of foreign aid training, our college held the project cooperation exchange meeting on the theme of "Economic and Trade" for foreign aid training with Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai(CPIT Shanghai). Chen Wei, Vice Dean of our college and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), Chen Hong, Director of Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Deputy Director Di Rong, and related personnel from both sides attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Vice Dean Chen Wei and Director Chen Hong first introduced the attendees of the meeting, and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions based on the business situation of both sides. Dean Chen said that foreign aid training, as an important strategic deployment to serve the country and regional economic and trade development, has certain similarities and wide cooperation space with the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the CPIT Shanghai. He hopes that the two sides can take the foreign aid training as an opportunity to deepen the cooperation and explore the construction of a long-term cooperation mechanism. Zhou Dejiang, Director of the Training Project Department of our college, gave a detailed introduction of the Base's overview, the effectiveness of its foreign aid training work and the requirements for implementing foreign aid training projects.
Director Chen Hong introduced the history and business scope of the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the CPIT Shanghai. Although the Department has a short history, as the operator of the Shanghai ODI Promotion Service Center and the Shanghai B&R Comprehensive Service Center, it has achieved great success in helping local enterprises go global and serving Shanghai’s B&R bridgehead construction. CPIT Shanghai is also the leader of the African Committee of the Chamber of International Commerce Shanghai(COIC Shanghai), which has accumulated a wide range of external communication channels and networks.
Both sides expressed their hope that starting from this exchange meeting and this year's economic and trade themed foreign aid training projects, they can not only strengthen the cooperation in training course resources and teacher team building, cloud visits, cloud exhibitions, international forums, enterprises going global, etc., but also further explore the possibility and implementation way to carry out more in-depth cooperation with African countries and B&R countries. It is hoped that they can strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, build and share the same frequency, so as to jointly serve and promote the national B&R construction.
