On the afternoon of May 11, 2022, College of International Education held a Moving Together online activity with the theme of "Fitness at home, wonderful you and me" for international students.
The activity first introduced to the international students various home fitness activities, including: Liu Genghong’s shuttlecock dance, anaerobic and aerobic stretching exercises, Pamela HIT training, Chinese Taijiquan and yoga exercises. It also demonstrated to the international students a set of simple home exercises, such as jumping, barbie jumping, leaning over and running, etc. Later, the activity featured videos such as Liu Genghong's shuttlecock dance and Pamela's HIT training, and invited international students to do exercises with the coaches on the screen, sweat and maintain a positive and happy mood.
After the activity, the international students expressed that the event was exciting and interesting. TUYGUNOVA FARIDA from Uzbekistan said: This event is very meaningful. Although we are quarantined at home, we can feel the enthusiasm of the activity. We exercised together across the screen, thank you very much. By introducing the wonderful stay-at-home activity, it helped international students to better adapt to the lockdown period in Shanghai, relieved the anxiety of being quarantined at home, released pressure and negative emotions, raised the international students' awareness of the importance of physical and mental health, and improved the physical quality and health of international students during the epidemic.
