On June 13, 2022, our College held an online conference for international students. 15 foreign students from the College of Hotel Management, the College of Business and Economics, the College of Business Administration, and the College of Finance participated in the activity. The leaders of our College and all the teachers of the International Students Office attended the meeting.
At the conference, students put forward their own ideas, suggestions and opinions on various aspects such as on-campus internship, graduation thesis, HSK Chinese proficiency test, campus club activities, online examination platform, online teaching platform, scholarship application, effective communication and contact network platform, etc. All the teachers of the International Students Office actively answered the questions and summarized the suggestions in order to continuously improve the education level and management service level of the international students. The meeting had a good atmosphere and positive interaction between teachers and students.
At the end, Chen Wei, Vice Dean of our College, pointed out that "the university and the College of International Education are committed to creating a better learning and living environment for international students, including: learning platform, communication platform and activity platform. He said that students' own learning motivation and effective learning methods are also important factors for students' growth. We still have 80% of students outside the country, and we hope the epidemic will end soon and we can meet on the campus of SBS. We also look forward to the new semester when all students can learn more knowledge and improve their professionalism."
The Online Conference is not only helpful for the college to actively understand the voices and listen to the thoughts of international students, but also helps the college to improve the quality of the education service. Through the activity, the international students have a better understanding of the university's development plan and prospects for the education of international students, which has strengthened their feelings towards the university, and is also an important part of the implementation of the "Study in Shanghai" plan.
