Mr. Martin has been in close contact and communication with our staff since his training at our university. In 2020, after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in China, he was very concerned and sent a recorded video to us to express condolences.
Under the coordination of Mr. Martin, in 2020, our university and Uruguay Paysandú Research Center jointly hosted the online exchange meeting on The Belt and Road Initiative: China-Uruguay Cooperation New Space. In 2021, jointly hosted the online exchange meeting on the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control experience, Salinas Daniel, Minister of Public Health of Uruguay, and Wang Gang, Ambassador of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Uruguay, attended and delivered speeches.
