Seminar on Maritime Transport and Port Logistics Cooperation of New Land-Sea Corridor Completed Successfully

On the evening of November 23, 2022 (GMT+8), the closing ceremony for "Seminar on Maritime Transport and Port Logistics Cooperation of New Land-Sea Corridor" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College of International Education, and Yin Yanhai, Associate Professor of the College of Business Administration, attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches.

The "New Land-Sea Corridor" has been connected with China-Europe Railway Express and Yangtze River Golden Waterway, and the connection of the Belt and Road has been realized. Through organizing this seminar, our university shared China's successful experience in maritime transport and port logistics, helping the participating countries to improve their independent development capacity and promote common development.

Speech by Dai Ying

Dai Ying said that this seminar is an exchange and exploration between China and participating countries in this field. It is believed that as the cooperation between China and other countries continues to deepen, China will work with other countries to make more active contributions to the development of shipping and port logistics in the New Land-Sea Corridor and achieve a greater degree of mutual benefit and win-win results. 

Speech by Yin Yanhai

Yin Yanhai said that during the course interaction, the teaching experts and the participants deepened their understanding, promoted friendship and established contacts, which laid a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation and development between different countries. From all perspectives, this seminar has built bridges of friendship and created conditions for future cooperation and development. He believes that there will be more interactions between the participating countries and China in the future, and the friendship between the people will last charms.

Eranga Hettiarachchi, manager of the Sri Lanka Port Authority, said that the seminar was very successful, which promoted the trainees to have more and better understanding of China's good relevant policies and practices. China not only continues to improve its livelihood and enhance the well-being of the Chinese people, but also builds world peace and contributes to global development.

The seminar lasted for 14 days and 20 participants from Ethiopia, Pakistan, Ecuador, Gambia, Cambodia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mongolia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Venezuela attended.
