On December 7, 2023, "Chinese enterprises' involvement in high- quality development of the belt and road initiative - The tenth symposium on Chinese enterprises going global" was held in Shanghai International Convention Center, and the College of International Education and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) were invited. Chen Wei and Dai Ying from the College of International Education, led 15 teachers from the Business Chinese Teaching and Research Office, counselors and representatives of international officials participating in the seminar, and representatives of international students to attend the conference.
Chen Qun, vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the symposium and delivered a speech. He emphasized the importance of Chinese enterprises actively integrating into the world market in the context of globalization, and expressed welcome and gratitude to all the guests participating in this conference. Liu Biwei, vice President of the China Association of Public Diplomacy, gave a brilliant speech on behalf of the conference organizers, encouraging enterprises to face the challenges and opportunities of the international market with a more open attitude.
In the keynote speech part of the conference, Zhou Hanmin, President of Shanghai Public Diplomacy Association, and Ambassador Suge made lively speeches on business opportunities and cross-cultural cooperation under the "the Belt and Road" initiative. They pointed out that the "the Belt and Road" is not only a new path for Chinese enterprises to develop overseas, but also an important platform for the global sharing of development opportunities.
The thematic forum is a major highlight of this symposium. Experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from various fields have launched heated discussions around topics such as "How Chinese enterprises achieve high-quality development", "Study on investment environment and risk prevention for countries along the Belt and Road". They shared their experience and insights in helping Chinese enterprises go global.
Through this conference, the College of International Education has further deepened its ties with the Belt and Road Initiative, and also demonstrated its efforts and achievements in cultivating international talents. In the future, the College of International Education at Shanghai Business School will continue to be committed to providing better services for friendly cooperation and exchanges between China and foreign countries, and contributing to China's rise on the world stage.
