On November 15, the Seminar on Construction of China-Pakistan Export Processing, organized by China’s Ministry of Commerce and hosted by Shanghai Business School, visited JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd. to explore opportunities for green energy collaboration. The delegation, consisting of 17 officials from Pakistan’s Development Bureau, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, was warmly welcomed by Chen Hong, Manager of the Management Department at the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Shanghai Industrial Park, and Zhang Ying, Deputy Manager.
The visit featured a detailed presentation on JA Solar’s history, global expansion, and export processing operations, particularly focusing on solar technology and its contributions to the green energy export sector. Participants were then given a guided tour of the factory, where they enjoyed an immersive, hands-on experience, enhancing their understanding of the company’s operations in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.
Among the attendees, Buzz Muhammad Khan Tallinn, Executive Engineer from the Development Bureau of Balochistan, and Moshin Ulla Khan from the Planning Bureau of Cape Province, expressed interest in importing solar panels in bulk and discussed potential collaboration with JA Solar’s overseas sales team.
Aman Ulla Khan, Deputy Director of Planning Commission of Pakistan and head of the seminar delegation, expressed his gratitude to JA Solar for the comprehensive explanations and shared expertise. He highlighted that the visit provided invaluable knowledge about solar technology, which would not only contribute to the development of green export processing zones but also play a key role in advancing Pakistan’s renewable energy sector.
The visit was both enriching and multifaceted, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of JA Solar’s operations. In terms of green energy development and technological applications, it provided practical insights that will inform the construction of China-Pakistan export processing zones. The open and productive discussions laid the foundation for future collaboration in sustainable development and the advancement of export processing zones. Ultimately, the visit further strengthened the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan.
