Mr. THOMAS DESMOND BANNISTER, Vice Premier and Minister of Engineering of Bahamas (ministerial level) at the time , once attended the “2018 Ministerial Seminar on Urban Planning and Construction for Developing Countries” held by Shanghai training base. Minister BANNISTER was the first cabinet minister of the new government to visit China and take part in the seminars, and his visit to China meant a lot for Sino-Bahamas relationship and made important contributions to the deepening of bilateral government relationship and the promotion of bilateral cultural and educational exchanges. After returning to Bahamas, he specifically introduced his experiences at the seminar, and stressed that Bahamas should learn from Shanghai’s experience in building a comprehensive modern city.
