Strengthen business exchanges and promote the professionalization of international student management ——College of International Education held the training meeting of international student counselors/class teachers

At 4:00 pm on May 31, 2022, the College of International Education held a exchange meeting for international student counselors, aiming to improve their policy level and implementation ability. Vice Dean Chen Wei and Dai Ying, all staff of the International Students Office, and counselors/class teachers from the colleges such as the College of Business Administration, the College of Hotel Management and the College of Finance and Economics attended the training meeting.

At the meeting, the staff of the International Students Office of our College gave a detailed introduction to the participants on the summer holiday safety education and the evaluation of the scholarship for international students, which focused on the meaning, content and precautions of the summer holiday safety education class meeting; the requirements, rules and precautions of the scholarship evaluation, etc., and systematically trained the counselors from multiple perspectives. At the meeting, counselors from the College of Business Administration, the College of Hotel Management, the College of Finance and other second-level colleges also warmly exchanged and interacted with the staff on the problems in the recent work.

Work tips and interactive sessions

Vice Dean Chen Wei re-emphasized the importance of international students' education work and put forward three requirements: firstly, to fully recognize the goals and significance of the work; secondly, to recognize the particularity of the work; thirdly, to maintain political acumen, solve the problems of international students in a timely manner, and actively implement the task of international students education.

The meeting not only enhanced the communication and interaction between the College of International Education and counselors of all colleges, but also improved their business ability, and promoted the stable and orderly development of international student work from multiple perspectives.
