Mr.TESHOME TAFESSE BEYENE, Minister of Finance of Ethiopia (vice-ministerial level) at the time, onceattended the “2019 Ministerial Seminar on Financial Strategies for DevelopingCountries” held by Shanghai training base. He offered many constructivesuggestions on the seminar, relying on hisprofessional finance knowledge and rich political experience. He said in hisstudy report that “we should not only thank China for its outstandingcontributions and generous aids, but also be proud of our own dramatic changesand progress.” In 2020, Minister BEYENE was appointed as a guest professor atSBS. Minister BEYENE has actively promoted cooperation and exchanges betweenSBS and Addis Ababa University, attended the 9th Financial Alliance SummitInternational Forum sponsored by SBS as a special guest, and presented aspeech.

Mr. EDWIN RAGOS ENRILE, Vice Minister of Tourism of Philippines(vice-ministeriallevel) at the time, once attended the “2019 Seminar on SMEs Management for Philippine” held by Shanghai training base. During the seminar, SBS brought ViceMinister ENRILE into contact with Shanghai Juneyao Airlines. The two sidesdiscussed Sino-Philippine airline businesses, and ultimately selected threePhilippine cities for air traffic with China. Considering his expertise and industrialbackground, SBS appointed Vice Minister ENRILE as a guest professor in 2020.

Ms.MARILENA-LUCIANA CRISTEA, Vice Governor of Dambovita, Romania (vice-ministeriallevel) at the time, once attended the “2019 Ministerial Seminar on Urban Planning,Construction and Development” held by Shanghai training base. As a participant representative, she gave aspeech at the opening ceremony, saying that “I really appreciate thisopportunity to attend the seminar, and see the miracles created by China andthe innovative technologies adopted by it during its urban planning, construction,and development. I also feel thrilled to witness the magnificence of China’s historicaland new architectures, and look forward to building a lasting friendship withall of you.” During the training, she was received by Shang Yuying, DeputySecretary General of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. She said that theseminar was both interesting and meaningful for her.
