On April 9, the College of International Education welcomed the delegation of Chen Runyun, Deputy Director of Training Center of the Ministry of Commerce; Ha Yu, Director of Foreign-aid Training Management Office I; and Liu Beimin, Deputy Director of Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. They surveyed our preparations for online foreign-aid training and our construction of online foreign-aid training smart classrooms and platforms, and engaged in a symposium with our leaders. The symposium was chaired by Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of College of International Education and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Training Base”).

On the afternoon of March 24, the delegation of the International Business Division of CEEC East China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., including Deputy Directors He Jiliang and Zhao Jianhua and Business Manager Ni Dongchen, paid a visit to SBS, and was warmly received by Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of College of International Education and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Training Base”).

Onthe night of March 18 Beijing Time, Sino-Uruguay “COVID-19” Pandemic Preventionand Control Experience Online Exchange Meeting, co-organized by the college andUruguay Paysandu Research Center, was successfully held. The meeting listenedto speeches given by Daniel Salinas, Uruguayan Ministerof Public Health; Wang Gang,Chinese Ambassador to Uruguay; and He Ying, Vice President ofSBS. After that, Zhu Renyi, Director of Department ofDisinfection and Infection Control of Shanghai Municipal Centerfor Disease Control & Prevention; Albornoz Henry, Chairman ofUruguayan Society for Clinical Infection; and Miao Qing, member of CPCCommittee and Director of Pulmonary Disease Department of Xiyuan HospitalCACMS, talked about the situations of pandemic prevention and control in Chinaand Uruguay, and shared their experience. The meeting was co-chaired by ChenWei, Deputy Dean of College of International Education, and Deréan Gonzalve,Vice Chairman of Uruguay Paysandu Research Center. A total of 530 peopleparticipated in the meeting online, including trainees from Latin AmericanSpanish-speaking countries who had participated in our foreign-aid trainingover the years and medical professionals form Uruguay.

On the morning of March 2, 2021, the College of International Education and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai Training Base”) jointly held the first faculty meeting of the new semester after co-location at Meeting Room 1503, Xuhui Campus. Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of College of International Education and Deputy Director of Shanghai Training Base, attended the meeting and gave a speech.
