On the morning of October 25, 2021(GMT+8), the Closing Ceremony for "Seminar on Infrastructure Construction for Latin American Countries" hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base forInternational Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Mr. Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education of our university, and Ms. Zhang Wen, Deputy Director of the Training Base Project Department attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

Onthe evening of October 21, Beijing time, the "Sustainable Financial Development" forum hosted by our university was successfully held. The forum was conducted both online and offline, and Vice President He Ying presided over the forum. Sun Yi, Chief Operating Officer of Everbright Securities Hong Kong, Xiao Benhua, Member of He Ying Studio at Decision Consulting Research Base of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and Victor Zimba, Finance Director of Zambia Financial Intelligence Center made keynote speeches. Chen Wei, Executive Vice Director of the College of International Education of our university, and 70 participating officials from the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Botswana, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Venezuela, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and other 11 countries attended the forum.

On the evening of October 15,2021(GMT+8), the Opening Ceremony for "Ministerial Workshop on Financial Strategy in Developing Countries" hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base forInternational Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Ms. He Ying, Vice President of our university and Mr. Fang Meng from Division of Foreign Economic Cooperation of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce attended the opening ceremony. This Ministerial Workshop is thesecond online workshop held by our university this year. In the new development stage of the "Dual Circulation" under the post-epidemic era,the changes in the global economy and markets have brought huge challenges to the development of countries around the world. The Workshop aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between countriesin the field of financial strategy, and provide China's experience to improve their financial strategy capabilities.

On the afternoon of October 14, Chen Xiaofeng, deputy secretary of our university’s party committee, led a delegation including Yuan Mingyu, Director of the Finance Department, Li Shuang, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department, and Fei Chen, Deputy Director of the Logistics Department, to the College of International Education and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) to conductresearch and exchanges. The meeting was presided over by Chen Wei, ViceDean of our College and Deputy Director of our Training Base. Members of the leadership team and relevant representatives of our College attended the exchange meeting.

On the morning of October 12, 2021(GMT+8), the Opening Ceremony for "Seminar on Infrastructure Construction in Latin American Countries" hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base forInternational Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Ms. Liu Beimin, Researcher with Division of Foreign Economic Cooperation of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Mr. Dai Ying, Vice Dean ofthe College of International Education of our university attended the opening ceremony.

At 1 pm on October 19, 2021, the lecture on safety education for international students was held in Room 117, Building 1, Fengxian Campus. The lecture invited police officer Wu Zhenxiao from the police station of the Fengxian Public Security Bureau. He brought a wonderful lecture on "Do a good job of self-prevention and complete your studies safely" for the international students.

On October 4, 2021, the College of International Education organized the"Foreign Students Seeing Shanghai" practical course. 24 international students from Russia, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Yemen and other countries participated in this activity.

On the evening of September 30, 2021(GMT+8), the “Seminar on Trade Facilitation Cooperation for Belt and Road Countries” hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and undertaken by MOFCOM Training Base forInternational Business Officials (Shanghai) of our university held an online closing ceremony. Han Bo, Project Director of the Free Trade ZoneUnited Development Co., Ltd., and Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College ofInternational Education of our university attended the ceremony.

On the evening of September 29(GMT+8), the Forum on Green City Development was successfully held by our university. The forum was conducted both online and offline, and was hosted by Vice President He Ying. Luo Zhisong, Chief Economist of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Chen Lei, Director of the Standard Quota Management Office of the Shanghai Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Management Committee delivered speeches successively. Pan Haixiao, Professor of Urban Transportation Research Institute of Tongji University, Wang Lei, Dean of Design Management Institute of China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau Co., Ltd., Huang Hao, Senior Engineer of Shanghai Urban Construction Design and Research Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., and Mona Farrag, Chief Urban and Regional Planner of the Land Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Egyptian housing, public utilities and Urban and Community Affairs, also delivered keynote speeches in turn.

On the evening of September 24,the opening ceremony of our university’s 2021 international students was grandly held in meeting room 1401 of Xuhui campus. Vice President He Ying and heads of secondary colleges holding international education such as the College of Business Administration and the College of Hotel Management attended the ceremony. Due to the epidemic prevention and control, the opening ceremony was conducted both online and offline. 30 international students who had already arrived at the university participated in the offline ceremony,the remaining students who were unable to enter the country due to the epidemic participated in the online ceremony through live broadcast platform. The opening ceremony was hosted by Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education.
