On the evening of September 13, 2022, the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School held the 2022 Opening Ceremony for International Students in Conference Room 1401, Xuhui Campus. He Ying, Vice President of Shanghai Business School, leaders and professors of College of Professional Finance & Accountancy, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Business and Economics, Business Information and International Education attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was hosted by Chen Wei, executive vice dean of International Education College of SBS, and more than 70 international students from Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe participated in the opening ceremony offline or online.

According to the “Notice of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission on Announcement of the List of Demonstrative Courses Taught in English for International Students in Shanghai Universities in 2021” (Shanghai Education Commission Foreign [2022] No. 36), The “Investment” and “Finance” by Wang Xiaoping, Associate Professor of the College of Finance and “International Finance” by Guo Raofeng of our university were awarded the title of “English-taught Demonstration Courses for International Students in Shanghai Universities”.

On the afternoon of September 9, 2022, the College of International Education organized a training session for international student counselors/class teachers. Ding Jie, Deputy Director of the International Student Affairs Office of Fudan University, was invited as the guest trainer. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College, presided over the meeting, which was attended by all staff from the International Students Office and counselors/class teachers from second-level colleges of SBS.

On the evening of September 7, 2022 (GMT+8), the opening ceremonies for Seminar on Optimizing Investment and Business Environment for Developing Countries and Seminar on Youth Entrepreneurship for Belt and Road Countries hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) were held online. Chen Qingfen from Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Chen Wei, executive vice dean of International Education College of Shanghai Business School, Xiao Benhua, researcher of Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, and Chen Guozheng, associate researcher of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, attended the opening ceremonies and delivered speeches.

On the evening of September 8, 2022 (GMT+8), the opening ceremony for Seminar on the Management of Small and Medium Enterprises for Portuguese Speaking Countries, hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Xu Yuansheng, Counselor of Chinese Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, Fang Meng, from Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Liu Bin, Director of International Exchange Office of Shanghai Business School, and the expert representative, Zhang Peng, Director of Yangtze River Delta Talent Training and Exchange Guidance Service Center, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

On the afternoon of September 1, 2022 (GMT+8), the opening ceremony for Seminar on Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Hungary-Serbia Railway hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Chen Qingfen, from the Foreign Economics and Cooperation Division of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Chen Wei, Deputy Dean of International Education College of Shanghai Business School, and Mi Jinhong, Associate Professor of Shanghai Maritime University attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

On the evening of August 31, 2022 (GMT+8), the closing ceremony for "Seminar on Import and Export Trade for Portuguese-Speaking Countries" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. At 8:00 a.m. on August 26, 2022, Beijing time, an online exchange meeting between our university, the University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and the Federal Agricultural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) in Brazil was successfully held.
