On the afternoon of June 13th, the opening ceremony for the Seminar on Green Circular Economy and Sustainable Development for Belt and Road Countries, hosted by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was conducted successfully. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Chen Wei, Deputy Executive Dean of International Education College and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Ms. Huangfu Hairong, Secretary General of Shanghai Association of International Economic & Technological Cooperation, who both addressed the attendees.

On June 13th, the opening ceremony for the Seminar on Tourism and Hospitality Management for Belt and Road Countries, hosted by Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was held smoothly. Mr. Chen Wei, Deputy Executive Dean of International Education College and Vice Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Associate Professor Sun Xuefei from the College of Hospitality Management of Shanghai Business School (SBS), the representative of the experts, attended and delivered speeches.

Ms. Alviann Liselle Thompson, Director of External Relations at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, recently expressed her gratitude to Shanghai Business School. Ms. Thompson was a participant in the Seminar on Green Circular Economy and Sustainable Development for Belt and Road Countries, organized by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) at Shanghai Business School.

On the morning of June 5th, the opening ceremony for the Seminar on Sino-Portuguese Third-Party Market Cooperation hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held smoothly. Ms. Jin Jue, Deputy Director of Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Mr. Chen Wei, Vice Executive Dean of International Education College and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), attended and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

On June 4th, the opening ceremony for the Seminar on Trade Promotion for RCEP Countries, hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was conducted smoothly. Mr. Chen Wei, Vice Executive Dean of International Education College and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Mr. Xiao Benhua, Research Fellow at Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.

On the afternoon of June 4th, the opening ceremony for the Seminar on Developing the Rule of Law for Ethiopia hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held smoothly. Mr. Chen Wei, Vice Executive Dean of International Education College and Vice Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Associate Professor Zhai Wei, Executive Director of the Competition Law Research Center of East China University of Political Science and Law, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

On May 17th, the Ministry of Commerce successfully inaugurated the opening ceremony of the Seminar on Trade and Investment Law for Nepal, hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai). The ceremony was graced by the presence of Wu Zhong, President of Shanghai Business School, Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base, and Lin Shuyua, Vice President and Secretary General of the Shanghai Pudong International Chamber of Commerce.

On the morning of April 23rd, Deputy Secretary Zheng Le and his delegation from MOFCOM visited Shanghai Business School (SBS) to conduct research and inspection on foreign aid training work. Vice President Zhang Shaohua, Branch Secretary of College of International Education, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School and Vice Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), Mr. Chen Wei attended the meeting.

On the afternoon of April 16, the opening ceremony of Seminário sobre a inovação científica e empreendedorismo do Brasil (Seminar on Scientific Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Brazil), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, commenced with great success.

On the morning of April 12, the opening ceremony of the first foreign aid training program of 2024 in Shanghai Business School: Seminar on development and governance for Malawi, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, commenced with great success. Chen Wei, the executive vice dean of the College of International Education, Shanghai Business School, and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Huang Dege, the vice general manager of China MCC5 Group CORP.Ltd. attended the ceremony.

At 7:00 p.m. April 9th (UTC+8), SBS held a post-foreign-aid training exchange event on the theme of “The Impact of the New Silk Road on Shanghai and Uruguay”.

On April 4th, a delegation led by Jia Zhanfeng, Deputy Director of the G60 Joint Conference Office and Director of S&T Innovation Corridor of Yangtze River Delta, visited our university. They received a warm welcome from Chen Wei, who presided over the meeting as the Secretary of the Party Branch of the College of International Education (SBS), Vice Dean of the College of International Education (SBS), Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base (Shanghai). The discussions focused on enhancing communication and sharing resources, especially in the context of national strategies such as the "Belt and Road Initiative" and "Integration of the Yangtze River Delta".
