In Times of Hardship, True Feelings Emerge: SBS Shows Concern for Myanmar Trainees Affected by Earthquake

A severe 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28th, resulting in significant devastation. Until now, over 1,700 fatalities were reported, 3400 have been injured, and approximately 300 are remain missing. After the disaster, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang sent messages of condolence to Myanmar's leader Min Aung Hlaing on March 29th, expressing the deep sympathy of the Chinese government and people for the people of Myanmar. On the same day, the China International Development Cooperation Agency announced that the Chinese government had decided to provide RMB 100 million in emergency humanitarian aid to Myanmar and swiftly dispatched two rescue teams to support disaster relief efforts.
