On May 17th, the Ministry of Commerce successfully inaugurated the opening ceremony of the Seminar on Trade and Investment Law for Nepal, hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai). The ceremony was graced by the presence of Wu Zhong, President of Shanghai Business School, Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base, and Lin Shuyua, Vice President and Secretary General of the Shanghai Pudong International Chamber of Commerce.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the College of International Education organized a table tennis event for international students. This activity aimed to introduce them to the sport of table tennis and its rules, fostering friendships through the game, improving their physical fitness, and enhancing team cohesion among the participants.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the College of International Education organized a Chinese Salon for international students. The Salon was themed on introducing the eight major Chinese cuisines, which are the essence of Chinese food culture and are closely related to the daily life of Chinese people. The introduction of Chinese food culture offers international students a diverse perspective on Chinese traditions, fostering a deeper understanding of its rich heritage.

On the morning of April 23rd, Deputy Secretary Zheng Le and his delegation from MOFCOM visited Shanghai Business School (SBS) to conduct research and inspection on foreign aid training work. Vice President Zhang Shaohua, Branch Secretary of College of International Education, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School and Vice Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), Mr. Chen Wei attended the meeting.

On the afternoon of April 16, the opening ceremony of Seminário sobre a inovação científica e empreendedorismo do Brasil (Seminar on Scientific Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Brazil), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, commenced with great success.

On the morning of April 12, the opening ceremony of the first foreign aid training program of 2024 in Shanghai Business School: Seminar on development and governance for Malawi, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, commenced with great success. Chen Wei, the executive vice dean of the College of International Education, Shanghai Business School, and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Huang Dege, the vice general manager of China MCC5 Group CORP.Ltd. attended the ceremony.

On April 9, 2024, Ambassador to Uruguay Huang Yazhong attended the online Exchange Conference on the Impact of the New Silk Road on Shanghai and Uruguay. Ambassador Loedel, Director of the Office of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uruguay, President Wu Zhong of Shanghai Business School, and Director De Leon of Centro de Estudios de Paysandú attended the Conference.

At 7:00 p.m. April 9th (UTC+8), SBS held a post-foreign-aid training exchange event on the theme of “The Impact of the New Silk Road on Shanghai and Uruguay”.

On April 4th, a delegation led by Jia Zhanfeng, Deputy Director of the G60 Joint Conference Office and Director of S&T Innovation Corridor of Yangtze River Delta, visited our university. They received a warm welcome from Chen Wei, who presided over the meeting as the Secretary of the Party Branch of the College of International Education (SBS), Vice Dean of the College of International Education (SBS), Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base (Shanghai). The discussions focused on enhancing communication and sharing resources, especially in the context of national strategies such as the "Belt and Road Initiative" and "Integration of the Yangtze River Delta".

On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, the College of International Education hosted a cultural exchange, inviting students from around the world to immerse themselves in the timeless elegance of traditional Chinese Hanfu attire. By exploring various styles of Hanfu and delving into its cultural significance, the event aimed to deepen international students’ appreciation for classical aesthetics while also introducing them to the concept of “New Chinese Style”.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, the College of International Education held a Chinese salon, welcoming students from across the globe to explore the rich heritage of China’s Five Sacred Mountains. The event served as a conduit for acquainting international students with the revered peaks such as Mount Tai, Mount Hua and Mount Heng, enhancing their understanding of Chinese culture and refining their language skills.

On the afternoon of March 20th, 2024, the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School held a regular meeting on foreign student education in Room 703 of the Comprehensive Building of Fengpu Campus. The teaching deans in charge of international student work in each secondary college, the homeroom teachers of international students in each secondary college, and relevant personnel from the College of International Education attended the meeting, which was presided over by Chen Wei, Vice Dean of the college.
