On Tuesday afternoon, April 8, 2025, the College of International Education held a Chinese salon themed on AI technological innovation. Through keynote speeches, technology demonstrations, and interactive discussions, the event delved into the innovative achievements in China's artificial intelligence field, focusing on the rise and global impact of the local AI company DeepSeek.

A severe 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28th, resulting in significant devastation. Until now, over 1,700 fatalities were reported, 3400 have been injured, and approximately 300 are remain missing. After the disaster, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang sent messages of condolence to Myanmar's leader Min Aung Hlaing on March 29th, expressing the deep sympathy of the Chinese government and people for the people of Myanmar. On the same day, the China International Development Cooperation Agency announced that the Chinese government had decided to provide RMB 100 million in emergency humanitarian aid to Myanmar and swiftly dispatched two rescue teams to support disaster relief efforts.

On the morning of December 6, 2024, the College of International Education held the 2021 International Students’ Employment Guidance and Internship Job Fair in classroom 113, Building 1 of Fengxian Campus. In order to help the graduating class of international students to better prepare for internship and employment, Ding Fang, General Manager of Pincai Group, was invited as the keynote speaker, which attracted many international students to attend the meeting.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 3, 2024, the College of International Education organized a fun event centered around roller skating for international students from all over the world. This activity allowed the students to enjoy the thrill of roller skating, enhance their athletic abilities, and promote their physical and mental well-being.

On the morning of November 20th, Zhang Gexing, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai National Accounting Institute, and his delegation, visited Shanghai Business School to conduct research and exchange on foreign-aid training work. Chen Wei, Secretary and Vice President of College of International Education, and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), Zhou Jihong, Deputy Secretary of College of International Education, and Dai Ying, Vice President of College of International Education and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), attended the research and exchange meeting.

On the morning of November 19th, participants from Seminar on ESG Information Disclosure for Asian Countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, visited and inspected Shanghai Enjie New Material Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Enjie Co., Ltd."). A total of 33 government officials from four countries, including Bangladesh, Laos, Mongolia and Nepal, participated in the event.

On November 15, the Seminar on Construction of China-Pakistan Export Processing, organized by China’s Ministry of Commerce and hosted by Shanghai Business School, visited JA Solar Technology Co., Ltd. to explore opportunities for green energy collaboration. The delegation, consisting of 17 officials from Pakistan’s Development Bureau, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, was warmly welcomed by Chen Hong, Manager of the Management Department at the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Shanghai Industrial Park, and Zhang Ying, Deputy Manager.

On the afternoon of November 7th, the Exchange Seminar on "Optimizing the Business Environment - Shanghai Practice and Silk Road International Cooperation", sponsored by our school, was successfully held at the Hongqiao Greenland Platinum Hotel. Leaders and experts from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and our school, as well as 39 international business officials from 9 countries including Mongolia, Rwanda, Armenia, El Salvador, Nauru, Ethiopia, Nepal, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania, attended the seminar. Chen Wei, Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School and Executive Director of the Institute of Sustainable Development of the "Belt and Road", presided over the meeting.

On November 6, 2024, the Seminar on Port Logistics Cooperation for Developing Countries, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, included a visit to the ASEAN Culture & Economic Exchange Center, followed by an immersive visit to Xiamen to engage with Minnan culture along the picturesque “Ten-Mile Causeway”. This event saw the participation of 24 government officials from seven countries, including Egypt, Bahrain, Togo, Fiji, Bangladesh, Nauru, and Thailand.

On November 5, Mr. Antony Herche Damte, Director and Senior Researcher of the Asia-Pacific Research Center at the Ethiopian Institute of Foreign Affairs and a participant in the Seminar on Green Development and International Cooperation for Developing Countries of Shanghai Business School, published an op-ed titled China’s Path to Green Modernization: Lessons in Resilience and Innovation in The Ethiopian Herald. The article has garnered enthusiastic responses.

In order to gain a deeper understanding of industrial development and the practical needs of enterprises for talent cultivation, and further strengthen cooperation between universities and enterprises, on the afternoon of November 5th, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of our school, Lao Xiaoyun, led a delegation of relevant personnel from the Research Office, Student Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, College of Art and Design, College of Business Information, and College of International Education to visit and conduct research at the National Foreign Cultural Trade Base (Shanghai) International High-tech Cultural Equipment Industry Base (hereinafter referred to as the "Base").

On October 29, 2024, the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School successfully held its first International Cultural Exchange Event. The event set up 12 foreign cultural exhibition booths, attracting over 800 Chinese and foreign students to participate. Through a series of cultural exhibitions and interactive activities, it enabled the students to understand and experience cultures from around the world, and promoted the exchange and integration of diverse cultures. The activities can be divided into cultural performances and cultural entertainment corridor, with rich and diverse content as well as novel and unique forms.
