On March 11, 2024, the College of International Education of Shanghai Business School successfully held the campus preliminary competition of the 4th “Stories of China Retold in English” Challenge for International Students. The competition aims to improve international students’ linguistic performance, stimulate their learning enthusiasm, spread the excellent Chinese culture through telling Chinese stories, promote the innovation of talent cultivation mode, and improve the quality of international student education.

On March 11, 2024, Jiang Chenglie, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Industrial Comprehensive Development Zone (SICDZ), led a delegation to visit SBS Fengxian Campus. They were warmly welcomed by Chen Wei, Secretary of the Party Branch directly under the School of International Education of Shanghai Business School (SBS) and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), along with Professor Yin Yanhai, Director of the Department of Logistics Management of the School of Business Administration. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation and promoting talent development.

On January 18th, 2024, with the coming of the New Year, Vice Dean Dai Ying and staff from the International Students Office of the International Education College paid a visit to the international students staying on campus. They expressed their concern and extended warm New Year greetings to the students.

On Tuesday afternoon, December 19th, 2023, the International Education College held a Chinese salon event with the theme of introducing traditional Chinese culture to international students from all over the world. The purpose of the event was to enhance the understanding and awareness of Chinese civilization among international students, as well as share the stories of excellent traditional Chinese culture.

On December 19, 2023, the College of International Education organized a symposium for international students in 2023 fall semester in Classroom 113 of Building No.1. It aimed to build a platform for communication and exchange to address the problems and difficulties encountered by international students in their studies and daily lives. The symposium was attended by Dai Ying, the Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education, along with staff members from the International Student Office. Additionally, 33 representatives of international students from different grades, majors, and colleges actively took part in the event.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 12, 2023, the College of International Education hosted a delightful frisbee game for international students from various countries. The game not only introduced them to new and thrilling frisbee techniques but also fostered exercise habits and enhanced their overall physical fitness.

On December 7, 2023, "Chinese enterprises' involvement in high- quality development of the belt and road initiative - The tenth symposium on Chinese enterprises going global" was held in Shanghai International Convention Center, and the College of International Education and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) were invited. Chen Wei and Dai Ying from the College of International Education, led 15 teachers from the Business Chinese Teaching and Research Office, counselors and representatives of international officials participating in the seminar, and representatives of international students to attend the conference.

On December 1st, the opening ceremony of the Advanced Seminar for Financial Leaders from the Perspective of the Belt and Road Initiative, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by our school’s MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was inaugurated. Liu Beimin, a researcher at the Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education and Deputy Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), attended the event.

On November 30th at 1:30 pm local time in Djibouti, the Overseas Seminar on Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training for Djibouti, organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and hosted by our school's MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), concluded with a closing ceremony. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College of International Education, Deka Mahmoud Gueller, founder of Djibouti Digital Electronic Health Company, and other participants were at present.

On the afternoon of November 28th, 2023, the College of International Education held an event with the theme of film dubbing and Chinese-foreign music exchange for international students from all over the world. The participants appreciated classic movie clips and listened to popular Chinese and foreign songs, which enriched their campus life and improved their aesthetic literacy through artistic exchange.

On the morning of November 24th, attendees of the "Seminar on Economic and Trade Cooperation for Developing Countries", organized by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by SBS, actively participated in the Forum on Rule of Law in Global Digital Trade.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, the College of International Education held a Chinese salon with the theme of appreciating the Chinese poetry for international students from around the world. The poetry not merely showcased the unique humanistic sentiments of Chinese people, but highlighted remarkable Eastern aesthetics.
