On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the College of International Education held an online exchange event for international students from all over the world with the theme of sharing China’s great artists and brilliant thinkers. The event introduced the representative philosophers and accomplished artists in their respective fields during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods of China, disseminated Chinese culture to international students, enhanced friendship between Chinese and international students, and presented a unique and wonderfully charming China to them.

On the evening of November 28, 2022 (GMT+8), the closing ceremony for "Seminar on Financial Accounting and Management for Officials from Developing Countries" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and jointly organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) and Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of China (SSFERTC) was held online. Liu Yinan, President of SSFERTC, Chen Wei, Vice Dean of the College of International Education of SBS, and Liu Ting, Associate Professor of the Beijing Technology and Business University, attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches.

On the evening of November 25, Beijing time, the 62nd lecture of SBS Forum was held online and offline by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) in cooperation with the Research Office, the College of Business Administration and the College of Business and Economics. FRANCISCO LUIZ DOS SANTOS, a participant of our university’s International Business Officials Seminar, former President of the Education Commission of Recife, and Professor at the Federal University of Agriculture in Pernambuco, Brazil, gave a lecture on "The Digital Smell Market: Internet, Electronic Nose and Scent TV". Nearly 100 past participants of the International Business Officials Seminar, teachers and students from the College of Business Administration, College of Business and Economics and College of Business Information listened to the lecture online. Professor Wang Shengqiao, Director of Research Office, Associate Professor Jiao Yue, Vice Dean of College of Business Administration, Associate Professor Zhang Qi Chen, Vice Dean of College of Business and Economics attended the lecture, which was hosted by Chen Wei, Vice Dean of College of International Education.

On the evening of November 23, 2022 (GMT+8), the closing ceremony for "Seminar on Maritime Transport and Port Logistics Cooperation of New Land-Sea Corridor" hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College of International Education, and Yin Yanhai, Associate Professor of the College of Business Administration, attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches.

On the evening of November 22, 2022 (GMT+8), the Forum on Cases of Business Model Innovation in the Context of Digital Economy , co-organized by the College of Economy of our university and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was successfully held online and offline. Liu Shouying, Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Economics, Renmin University of China, Dr. Shen Huaxia from the College of Business and Economics, Shanghai Business School, and Manilat Kim Bong-shin, Director of the Department of Technology and Innovation of the Ministry of Communications of Laos, made keynote speeches respectively. Associate Professor Zhang Qichen, Vice Dean of the College of Business and Economics of SBS presided over the forum. At 3:00 p.m. on November 18, the College of International Education, the College of Business Administration of our university and the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Presidential Academy) jointly held the “Belt and Road” China-Russia Management Discipline Professional Talent Training Summit Forum. On the evening of November 18, 2022 (GMT+8), the opening ceremony for Seminar on Infrastructure Planning and Project Management for Samoa, hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held online. Fang Meng from the Foreign Economic Cooperation Office of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of International Education College attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

On November 5th, the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was successfully held in Shanghai. In order to learn the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the CIIE opening ceremony, promote high quality of life with high quality development, and spread Chinese culture and voice positively, the College of International Education organized international students to participate in the cultural flash mob organized by Shanghai Business School, Gala bay and Shanghai Modern Enterprise Development Co. Ltd. to better implement the university's philosophy of “business-oriented and application-oriented”, enrich the daily life of international students, strengthen the dissemination of Chinese traditional culture and folklore, and expand the international influence of the university.

In order to continuously promote the high-quality and connotative development of our university’s English-taught demonstration courses for international students, the 2023 Shanghai Business School’s International Students English Demonstration Course Construction Project Appraisal Meeting was organized by the College of International Education in a combination of online and offline methods on November 4th. Chen Yili, Director of the International Student Office of Tongji University, Sun Bing, Dean of the College of International Cultural Exchange of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Li Yuewen, Deputy Dean of the College of International Education of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, attended the meeting as review experts. Nine course leaders from the College of Finance, Business Administration, and International Education of Shanghai Business School, as well as relevant personnel from the International Student Office of the College of International Education, attended the meeting, which was presided over by Dai Ying, deputy dean of the College of International Education.
