On the afternoon of September 12, 2023, International Education College of Shanghai Business School (SBS) took the lead to hold the Regular Meeting on Education of International Students for the New Semester in Conference Room 1501 of Xuhui Campus. The meeting presided over by Ms. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the International Education College was attended by President Wu Zhong, the college deans in charge of international students-related work, the class advisors /counselors of international students and the relevant personnel of the International Education College.

On the afternoon of September 11, led by Mr. Chen Wei, Vice Executive Dean of International Education College and Vice Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), the group of the Seminar on Railway Planning and Construction for Officials from Russian-Speaking Countries undertaken by Shanghai Business School visited China Railway Shanghai Design Institute Group Corporation Limited (the Institute) for investigation and exchange. Mr. Zhong Guogang, Vice President of the Institute, delivered a welcome speech; Mr. Han Tao, Senior Engineer and Director of Operation Department of Overseas Business Division, gave a lecture on planning and design of a railroad modern logistics base; Mr. Yu Shuiming, General Manager of Overseas Business Division, Ms. Ah Yufei, Deputy General Manager of Overseas Business Division, Ms. Meng Yanli, Director of Technology Department of Overseas Business Division, Mr. Zheng Yanghai, Director of Comprehensive Department, and Mr. Qin Qihui, Deputy Director of Operation Department of Overseas Business Division were also in the reception team.

On September 7, 2023 (Beijing Time), the opening ceremony for the Seminar on Management of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises for Portuguese-Speaking Countries hosted by Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was held smoothly. Mr. Chen Wei, Vice Executive Dean of International Education College and Vice Director of MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Mr. Zhangpeng, the expert representative and Director of Yangtze River Delta Talent Cultivation and Exchange Guidance Service Center, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

On the afternoon of August 24th, the College of International Education organized an online salon event centering around the theme of practical Chinese language for travel. Through sharing and exchanges, the event introduced international students to practical Chinese that they will use when traveling in China.

On the afternoon of August 22, the closing ceremony of the Seminar on Public Investment and Public Financial Management for Vietnam, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) in Shanghai Business School, commenced with resounding success. Dai Ying, executive vice dean of College of International Education of Shanghai Business School, and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) attended the ceremony, andthe expert representative Yang Baohua, an associate professor from Shanghai Normal University, presided over and delivered a speech.

On the evening of August 18th, the forum on financial services and cooperation in the new landscape hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) and the Faculty of Professional Finance and Accountancy was successfully held. The forum was conducted both online and offline. He Ying, dean of the "Belt and Road" Sustainable Development Research Institute of Shanghai Business School, presided over the forum. Guo Raofeng, lecturer of the Faculty of Professional Finance and Accountancy of SBS, Li Shenru, assistant professor of Macau University of Science and Technology, Caesar Morello, Purchasing Manager of the National Library of Venezuela, and Zamil Hosen, deputy general manager of Bangladesh Krishna Bank, were invited to give keynote speeches. 42 participants of "Seminar on Financial Services and Cooperation for Developing Countries" from 9 countries including Ecuador, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Mongolia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela attended the forum.

On the morning of August 1, the 5-people delegation, including Yu Yong (Dean of Overseas College of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics) and Li Rongkang (Director of Yunnan International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges) came to Shanghai Business School to investigate the foreign aid training work. Dai Ying, Vice Dean of the College of International Education and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) presided over the research and exchange meeting, and Yuan Mingyu, Director of the Financial Affairs Department, and Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of the College of International Education and Deputy Director of the Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), attended the meeting.

Recently, the official website of the provincial government of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, reported the Seminar on Science and Technology Innovation for Latin American Countries hosted by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and reposted it on the social media Facebook. The Seminar was held in Shanghai from June 29 to July 19, and involved 31 government officials from 10 countries in Latin America (including 1 ministerial-level and 7 departmental and bureau-level officials).

On the afternoon on July 26, 2023, the College of International Education organized an online event for international students to share the Chinese culture of summer heat avoidance and introduced them to interesting summer life in the past and present and relevant tips.

On July 19th, the closing ceremony was held for Seminario de Innovación en Ciencia y Tecnología para Países Latinoamericanos sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) in Shanghai Business School. President Wu Zhong, the deputy-director-level researcher of International Exchange Department of Shanghai Education Commission Ge Jingyi, and experts representatives Li Lizhi, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Cooperation Department of Suzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, Chen Wei and Dai Ying, executive vice deans of College of International Education of Shanghai Business School, and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) attended the ceremony.

On the afternoon of July 19th, President Wu Zhong met with Venezuelan Vice Minister of Science and Technology Ms. Danmaris and Assistant Minister Mr. Hausilius, accompanied by Ge Jingyi, the deputy-director-level researcher International Exchange Department of Shanghai Education Commission, Chen Wei and Ying Dai, executive vice deans of College of International Education of Shanghai Business School, and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai).

On the morning of July 19, 2023, the 2023 International Students Scholarship Review Conference was held in Room 1501 of Xuhui Campus. The International Students Scholarship Review Committee reviewed and evaluated the awards and winners of international student scholarships for this year. Wu Zhong, Deputy Chief of the Party Committee of Shanghai Business School (SBS) and President of SBS, attended the review conference, which was presided over by Chen Wei, Deputy Dean of the College of International Education.
