On March 22nd , Mr. Wu Zhong, President and Deputy Party Secretary of SBS, went to the International Cooperation Division, the International Education College and the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) for investigation and guided the work. The meeting was attended by Xu Yingying (Director of President’s Office and the Party Committee Office), Liu Bin (Director of the International Cooperation Division), Chen Wei (Executive Vice Dean of International Education College and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai)) and Dai Ying (Vice Dean of International Education College) and other related staff. The meeting was presided over by Xu Yingying.

On March 19th 2023, a group of nearly 90 international students from more than 30 countries enjoyed a Shanghai tour organized by the International Education College. This tour aimed to impress international students with the charm of Shanghai in the early spring days, help them know the city culture and further understand the progress that China has made since the reform and opening up, and integrate them better into local life and study.

In the afternoon of March 18, the Closing Review Meeting for the Research and Practice (Production Logistics) Project on Shanghai Qualifications Framework, which was commissioned by the Lifelong Education Department of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and carried out by the SBS Lifelong Learning Development and Evaluation Research Center, was successfully held and attended by Deputy Director Huang Feng of the Lifelong Education Department of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and some members of the project team. A total of 6 experts from Shanghai Open University, Tongji University, Shanghai Peng’an Shipping Co., Ltd., Yunda Ltd., Shanghai Xuesheng Industrial Co., Ltd. and MUJI respectively were invited as members of the review team. The meeting was hosted by Chen Wei, Director of SBS Lifelong Learning Development and Evaluation Research Center.

On the morning of March 13th, Chen Changsheng, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province, Fan Huimei, Director of theForeign Investment and Economic Division, Zhang Qianfan, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment and Economic Division, and Liu Jing, Deputy Director of the Open Development Division, visited our university to investigate foreign aid training. The meeting was chaired by Vice President of SBS He Ying, and attended by Deputy Dean Chen Wei and Dai Ying from the College of International Education of SBS.

On the afternoon of March 13, Wan Shuchun, deputy director of the International Exchange Department of Shanghai Customs College, led a team to our college for exchange. The exchange meeting was held in Room 1502, Teaching Building, Xuhui Campus, attended by Vice Dean Dai Ying and the relevant directors of the college.

On the afternoon of March 7, the International Education College held a table tennis exchange activity for international students at Fengxian Campus. The activity invited members of the SBS Table Tennis Club to introduce the Chinese “national ball”, table tennis, and instruct the international students on serving and returning skills. Upon introducing the special sport, the activity has enhanced the friendship between Chinese and foreign students, and presented a unique and charming China.

On the afternoon of March 6, 2023, the International Education College of Shanghai Business School held a meeting on the education of international students at the 1501 conference room in Xuhui campus. The Deans in charge of international student education from each second-level college, as well as the class advisors/counselors for international students in each second-level college, along with relevant personnel from the International Education College attended the meeting, which was presided over by Vice Dean Chen Wei.

On February 21, the International Education College and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) held the first working meeting of the teaching and administrative staff in the new semester at Conference Room 1503 of Xuhui Campus. Executive Vice Dean Chen Wei, Vice Dean Dai Ying and the staff attended the meeting presided over by Dean Chen Wei.

Recently, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission announced the evaluation results of “Excellent Education Cases for International Students in Shanghai Universities”, and the case of Building an online Training Model for Foreign Aid and Promoting Common Development declared by the International Education College of SBS and MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) was selected as an excellent case.

In the afternoon of January 27, 2023 (the 6th day of the 1st month of the lunar calendar), the International Education College of SBS held an online activity for international students to share and introduce traditional Chinese New Year customs, present the profound underlying meanings, spread Chinese culture and traditions, and enhance communication and interaction between Chinese and foreign students.

In the afternoon of December 30, 2022 (GMT+8), the closing ceremony for "Seminar on Blue Economy for Zanzibar", hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was held online. He Dongyang, Consul of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Zanzibar, Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of International Education College, and Liao Zefang, Professor of the Research Center for the Development Strategy of Marine Industry of Shanghai Ocean University, attended the closing ceremony and delivered speeches.

In the evening of December 22, 2022 (GMT+8), the closing ceremonies for "Seminar on Finance for Afghanistan" and "Seminar on Youth Entrepreneurship for Developing Countries", hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), were held online respectively. Chen Wei, Executive Vice Dean of International Education College attended both closing ceremonies and delivered speeches. Each of the two expert representatives, Guo Changlin, Associate Professor of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Zhang Peng, Director of Yangtze River Delta Talent Training and Exchange Guidance Service Center, attended closing ceremonies respectively and delivered speeches.
