On the morning of November 12, the opening ceremony of the China-UN-Habitat (Sub-Saharan Africa) Training Program on Urban Planning and Resilient Infrastructure Construction, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of SBS, was held at the Caobao Road Campus. Yin Sheng, Head of the UN-Habitat China Office, and Dai Ying, Deputy Dean of the College of International Education and Deputy Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), attended the opening ceremony.

On the morning of November 11, the opening ceremony for the “Green Circular Economy and Sustainable Development Seminar for Developing Countries”, organized by the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and undertaken by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of SBS, was successfully held. Liu Bin, Dean of the College of International Education of SBS and Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Zhu Ting, Associate Professor from the School of Economics at Shanghai University, representing the experts, attended the opening ceremony.

On the afternoon of November 11, the opening ceremony of the MOFCOM Seminar on Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Latvia, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of SBS, was held at the Caobao Road Campus. Liu Bin, Dean of the College of International Education and Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), and Zhai Wei, Associate Professor of the Economic Law School of East China University of Political Science and Law, representing the seminar experts, attended the opening ceremony.

On November 11, 2025, guided by the “Business Rhyme along the Silk Road” international education brand, the College of International Education meticulously organized an immersive Traditional Chinese wellness culture experience activity. The lingering fragrance of sachets conveyed the enduring commercial charm of the millennia-old Silk Road, while Tai Chi and Baduanjin embodied Eastern wisdom for self-cultivation. At the intersection of history and the present, the activity paved a practical path for international students to perceive the depth of Chinese civilization.

On the afternoon of November 8, the seminar titled “Forging New Silk Road Commerce, Facilitating Global Circulation——Jointly Building Sustainable Trade and Circulation for the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative”, hosted by SBS, was successfully held at the Primus Hotel Shanghai Hongqiao. Nearly 50 participants gathered for the event, including Level-2 Inspector Liu Zhaohui from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Vice President Zhang Shaohua of SBS, 38 business officials from relevant departments of 12 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Panama, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Suriname, The Gambia, Vietnam, Zambia，along with some domestic experts and scholars. The seminar was presided over by Chen Wei, Secretary of the Directly-affiliated Party Branch of the International Education College and Executive Dean of the Belt and Road Sustainable Development Research Institute from SBS.

On the morning of November 4th, the opening ceremony of the Malaysia Civil Aviation Operations Management Seminar, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of SBS, was successfully held. Zhou Jihong, Deputy Secretary of the Direct Party Branch of the College of International Education, Jiang Zhen, Director of the Southeast Asia Office from the Marketing Department of COMAC, and Peng Yingjie, Senior Manager of the Strategy and Management Innovation Department from the Marketing Department of COMAC, attended the ceremony.

On the afternoon of October 30，2025, the opening ceremony for the El Salvador Smart Logistics Seminar, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by SBS’s MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was successfully held. Liu Bin, Dean of the College of International Education and Director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), attended and addressed the ceremony.

On the afternoon of October 28, the College of International Education organized a “Chinese Folk Music Appreciation Concert” for international students. Using aesthetic education as a bridge, the appreciation concert provided an immersive artistic experience, guiding students around the world to deeply appreciate the unique charm of outstanding traditional Chinese culture and further promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and other countries.

The Senior Seminar on International Circulation and Commercial Distribution for Belt and Road Countries commenced on the morning of October 28. The opening ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), was successfully held. Chen Wei, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch of the College of International Education, and Che Chunli, Associate Professor of the School of International Trade and Economics from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, attended the ceremony.

On October 25th, College of International Education organized a one-day cultural experience trip, “Experience China, Explore Shanghai”, for 75 international students from Belt and Road countries such as Uzbekistan, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The trip aimed to guide the students in closely experiencing the excellence of traditional Chinese culture and the charm of the modern metropolis through immersive city exploration, thereby further solidifying the brand connotation of “Study at SUIBE—Business Charm along the Silk Road”.

On October 23, the “Mauritania Seminar on Learning from China’s Digital Economy Development Experience”, organized by the Ministry of Commerce and undertaken by SBS’s MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai), conducted a field study at the Yixing City Operations Center in Jiangsu Province. Twenty-three officials from Mauritanian government institutions including the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Administrative Modernization, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research participated in this exchange activity.

On the afternoon of October 21, College of International Education successfully held a Chinese salon themed “LABUBU and ACG Culture”. As part of the brand-building initiative “Study at SBS——Silk Road Business Charm” for international students, this event adopted an innovative dual-track format combining “pop culture + immersive interaction”. It attracted active participation of students from over ten countries, who improved their Chinese language skills in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, gained a deeper understanding of contemporary Chinese youth culture, and further contributed to the global dissemination of outstanding Chinese culture.
